In this second class on Shamanic Foundations and Sacred Plant Facilitation, we place our focus on the person.

This is what makes the difference between a simple psychedelic experience and a true process of healing and personal integration.

I am not someone who relies heavily on book-based conceptualization. However, a very interesting figure to study in this context is Carl Jung.

He builds a bridge between European rationalism and a return to folkloric magical thinking. There are also Hindu and contemporary references that base their understanding on non-dualism and identification with the Self.

One can also explore Andean knowledge from the Q’ero tradition, through the books of Nicolás Paucar and the Andean initiatory path of the Qhapac Ñam described in the works of Javier Lajo.

All of them speak about identity—about who we are.

We can understand this on different levels, as science shows us that we are multidimensional beings.

Therefore, we must move away from so-called absolute truths that are not truly absolute. The only Absolute Truth is Being.

What my first Andean teacher, Tahuiro, called Nohan Kani Kani.

Yet this Absolute Truth includes all relative truths. That is why it is also interesting to observe quantum physics.

In Andean culture, dualism is always complementary—what is known as parity.

We all come from a Mother, who in turn had to unite with a Father to conceive us. There is no greater truth that connects us to the meaning of life, and therefore to transcendence.

From there, we can begin to weave our Personal Myth. We say “weave” because we do not believe anything is imposed—there is no single fixed destiny, but rather a conversation. This is why we center ourselves in reciprocity—Ayni.

The way we relate to both our voluntary and involuntary experiences is what allows us to reach happiness.

Happiness is a state of consciousness. It does not exclude us from experiencing different emotions, but it allows us to disidentify from illusion and place our trust in the infinite wisdom of creation—of which we are both a part and the Absolute itself, depending on where we observe it from.

During the class, we will also meditate together to directly experience this connection.

This is the same intention we hold for our patients and for all those who come into our healing space.

As always, I wish you the very best on this day and throughout your journey.

With love,Javier
